The iDrive control concept.
Maximum usability, minimum complexity: iDrive simplifies the control of the 7 Series' many driving and cabin comfort features. Often-used features - windscreen-wipers, indicators, radio and telephone for example - are controlled using levers or keys on or around the steering wheel. Secondary functions - the address book, the navigation system or BMW Assist - are accessed via the iDrive Controller on the central console, with menus and information displayed clearly on the Control Display.
Rear-cabin comfort.
The luxurious spaciousness of the rear seat of the BMW 7 Series is even more generous in the long-wheelbase models, which have 14 cm greater length. Electrically-adjustable rear seats, for example, offer outstanding comfort. The rear-cabin display screen and Controller gives rear-seat occupants total control over comfort features. Self-levelling suspension is standard for long-wheelbase models and optional for all others. Rear-cabin climate control is an option exclusively for the Li models.

The Advanced DVD System.
Best-in-class entertainment is assured with the Advanced DVD System. Rear-cabin passengers can enjoy movies and music in cinematic quality. The system includes an infra-red remote control and handles video DVDs, CD-ROMs and even MP3s and JPEG files effortlessly. Two angle-adjustable anti-glare 7" colour screens are integrated in the back of the driver and passenger seats. The system includes two sets of wireless headphones, and the AV port offers connectivity for your electronic devices.
